The TACO Marine ShadeFin Telescopic Rod Holder Accessory Mount drops into any standard gunwale rod holder to bring portable, adjustable shade wherever you need it most. Built from high-quality, lightweight anodized aluminum with a clear anodized finish, this mount extends from 42" to 67" tall, giving you enough clearance to stand comfortably underneath ShadeFin on deck. Whether you're anchored at a sandbar, tied up at the dock, or out on the water, you can also swing ShadeFin out over the side of the boat to keep the sun off you and your crew as conditions change throughout the day.

Two independent adjustment points let you dial in the perfect position as the sun moves. At the base, a Sure-Grip Knob and Pull Pin Lock set the upward angle to 0°, 15°, or 30° in seconds. Halfway up the body, a throw latch controls both height and 360° horizontal rotation so you can redirect shade without repositioning the entire mount. If you pair this accessory with the Adjustable Rod Holder Mount (T10-3000-5 or T10-3000-6, sold separately), you gain a third adjustment point at the top for even finer ShadeFin angle control. Setup is straightforward: insert the solid gimbal butt into your rod holder, set your angle, slide in the Rod Holder Mount until the gimbal butt seats into the accessory gimbal pin, attach ShadeFin, and deploy.
