It's also the first engine in its class to feature friction-reducing roller rocker arms, a design borrowed from Suzuki's larger, more advanced outboards, for smoother operation and greater mechanical efficiency over the life of the motor.

The DF30A is available in two control configurations to suit different boaters and boats. The remote-control version pairs a 20-inch long shaft with remote throttle and shift control, along with a standard side-mount control box and harness, ideal for helm-steered boats. The tiller-steered version offers direct, hands-on control with a front-mounted Forward-Neutral-Reverse lever positioned right where your hand naturally rests on the tiller handle. Both configurations include electric start, backed up by Suzuki's Easy Start Recoil Starter, and integrated Power Trim and Tilt for on-the-fly engine angle adjustment as conditions change.

A redesigned engine cover improves airflow to the direct air intake system, helping the engine run cooler and more efficiently. Suzuki's rotating flywheel actively vents warm air away from the recoil cover, inner air intake, and top engine cover, reducing heat buildup that can affect performance over long runs.
