The Fendertex S80 Spherical Fender is engineered for larger vessels and specific docking requirements where a standard fender falls short. Combining innovative French manufacturing with premium materials, this spherical fender delivers a level of performance, protection, and convenience far beyond traditional rubber or plastic fenders. Its large diameter also makes it ideal as a handheld or rover fender during maneuvers and docking.

Each fender is built with a patented high-tech polyester textile outer shell featuring a tubular knit construction with no seams or welding. This design provides extreme resistance to both compression and tensile forces. The outer textile is 100% polyester using high and low tenacity mass-dyed yarn, making it highly resistant to UV degradation and color fading without the need for surface treatments. The patented salt-resistant knitting limits abrasion on hull surfaces and paint, leaving no marks on the outside of the hull — a feature originally developed for the megayacht market.

Inside, a highly elastic polyurethane bladder — welded by high-frequency welding — provides 500% elasticity and is fully adapted to the marine environment. Notably, the inner bladder is independent of the textile shell, meaning it can be replaced in the event of a puncture. Water can also be added to the bladder to act as ballast. A secure empty-fast valve allows for quick inflation and deflation.

The fender is ultralightweight at just 3.8 lbs and, once deflated, rolls up compactly for easy storage aboard. It is also easy to maintain — simply clean with water or wash in a standard washing machine at 40°C.
