Shop Vinyl Rub Rail at West Marine
Rub rail protects the exposed sides of boats from contact with pilings, docks, other boats and similar surfaces It is installed around the perimeter of a boat’s hull, where it is likely to rub against other surfaces. Aluminum and vinyl rub rails often have a vinyl insert that provides a softer contact surface, and to hide the heads of the fasteners. Some trim shapes can accept a length of 1/2" or 3/4" nylon rope as an insert.
Find an exact rub rail match for your boat
Many rub rail extrusions that we sell are exact replacements for production boats. Rub rail is generally selected by looking at an existing piece of railing and copying it. If you don’t see an exact match on this page or elsewhere on westmarine.com, please check our Rub Rail Selection Guide provided to us courtesy of Taco, our primary rub rail supplier. It contains diagrams of cross sections of the wide variety of available rub rail configurations.
